Routine building safety systems testing

B&D Reside Communications Team

News

As part of routine programme of reviews of fire safety systems, specialist engineers will be conducting important tests in some buildings over the next few days.

Testing will take place at the buildings listed below. The work will commence from 9AM on Wednesday 26 February and is expected to finish by 5PM on Friday 28 February.

Buildings involved (A-Z)

  • Chand House
  • Ewars Marsh Court
  • Fifeshire Court
  • Fishmonger House
  • Gilderson House
  • Herring Court
  • Leleu Court
  • Plaice House
  • Sailor Court
  • Shuckford Court
  • Trawler House
  • Trilene House

What will happen during the tests?

Engineers will work through each building sequentially for around four (4) hours per building.

During this time, residents in those buildings may hear the fire alarms in the communal spaces. This is a normal part of the testing process. If you hear any fire alarms during the testing period for your building, please do not take action.  There will also be people on site who can advise if you have any queries.

Lifts

During the testing period for  each building the lifts will remain on the ground floor for a short period of time. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Assistance will be given to anyone who cannot use the stairs.

The fire system inspection team will be on site during the test.  People from the property management team will also be present and will be able to respond to any queries you may have.
